Our Associate Pastor
Fr. Ossy Kalathil OCD
Fr. Ossy Kalathil ( Francis Osana ), a Carmelite Priest, belonging to the Discalsed Carmelite Order (OCD), of the province of Manjummel in Kerala State in India. Fr. Ossy studied in his own town school and entered in the Carmelite Order in 1967. He studied phyilosophy and theology in the Pontifical Seminary (Aluva) in India. Fr. Ossy was ordained in 1979, December 23rd by Bishop Anthony Thannikkot, Auxiliary Bishop of Vrapoly. Fr. Ossy continued to study and received his Masters in Literature and taught philosophy at Sacred Heart College in Aluva. Fr. Ossy has also served as Pastor in many different Indian Parishes.
Fr. Ossy Kalathil joined us in 2006 as an Associate Pastor and has been a tremendous help to our parish. His gentle and loving style of ministry reflects the Grace of God. He brings joy and a deep reverence for Jesus in his ministry and a deep respect for the Sacraments, a love for the Virgin Mary and a good sense of humor to our parish family.
