Filipino Ministry

The Filipino Ministry works to unify the Filipino community of Downey and neighboring communities to collectively serve God by supporting the St. Raymond Catholic Community. On the first Friday of each month the ministry holds Perpetual Adoration of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary with mass, the rosary, and prayers for world peace, peace in our homes, conversion of sinners and for vocations. All of our fund raising activities help the various needs of the parish. Our goals are to preserve and celebrate meaningful Filipino spiritual culture like Simbang Gabi, Santo Niño, and mass for Our Lady of Fatima; to support the different ministries of St. Raymond; and to provide assistance to needy people, the elderly, the sick and those from the Philippines.
