Worship
The liturgy is the working of the Holy Trinity and the public worship of the Church. The liturgy mediates the grace of Jesus Christ won through the Paschal Mystery. As Catholics we are called to participate fully in the sacramental life of the Church. This obliges us to attend the holy sacrifice of the Mass on Sundays and other Holy Days.
Sacrament
The sacraments are the heart and soul of Catholic practice. They prepare the believer to render worship to God the Father, through Jesus Christ, and by the power of the Holy Spirit. There are seven Sacraments in the sacramental economy: those of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist), those at the service of communion (Holy Orders, Matrimony), and those of healing (Penance and Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick).
